Taylor Swift motivated an entomologist to name a brand-new millipede types after the megastar

A recently found types of millipede was named after Swift, according to a research published in the journal ZooKeys. It's called Nannaria swiftae, or Swift twisted-claw millipede.
Lead research writer Derek Hennen is a self-proclaimed Swiftie and also wished to honor the vocalist. He was a doctoral candidate at Virginia Technology in Blacksburg at the time of the research.
"Her music has obtained me through tough times, and also it's sort of a nice little thanks I can offer for the joy her music has actually brought me," Hennen said.
Hennen found the Appalachian millipede in Autumn Creek Falls State Park in Spencer, Tennessee, the same state Swift moved to as a teenager to pursue her vocal singing career.
